 | Since their inception in 1913, Pretty Ladies have been one of Royal Doulton's most popular ranges of collectable figures. In fact, Pretty Ladies represent one of the largest sub-collections within Royal Doulton's HN Series of Figurines. (The "HN" refers to Harry Nixon, a painting supervisor, who in 1913 realized numbering figures would enable Royal Doulton and collectors to identify specific figures.) The HN numbering system is still used today, with more than 5,000 "HN" numbers being issued since 1913. |
