The Gordon Ramsay by Royal Doulton collection was born through a partnership with the world-renowned chef. Gordon Ramsay worked closely with the Royal Doulton design staff to develop a contemporary dining and cooking collection of the highest quality. While intended for home/domestic use, the new collection offers the strength, durability and versatility expected in hotel/restaurant-grade products.
Gordon Ramsay by Royal Doulton Glassware was designed after Gordon and the Royal Doulton design team conducted research in some of Gordon Ramsay's London restaurants. The requirement was evident... to design the ultimate sommelier collection, which was user friendly, for both restaurant and home.
Wine was the key. Working closely with the Sommeliers from Maze and Gordon Ramsay at Claridge's, function was vital. The drinking vessels had to perform to the highest standard for the type of drinks they were used for. The range incorporates clear undecorated glass with simple pulled stems and appropriate bowl shapes and sizes. Capacities were considered throughout the design process as well as functionality.
